Welcome to Richland One Community Coalition!
The Richland One Community Coalition (ROCC) is a part of the Student Support Services Department and is proud to assist Richland County School District One with its mission to prepare every student to be a successful, contributing citizen in a global society by providing an effective and high quality education.
ROCC began through the joint efforts of four organizations: Richland County School District One, the Lexington/Richland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council (LRADAC), Lexington/Richland School District Five, and the Community Roundtable of Irmo, Dutch Fork and Chapin (CRT). In 2004, a Drug Free Communities Coalition Mentoring Grant was awarded to allow the CRT to mentor the ROCC and help it build its own coalition.
Purpose: ROCC was formed in response to the desire of the Richland One community to reduce youth substance abuse and strengthen families. Parents, students, churches, nonprofit agencies and other organizations meet to tackle issues that threaten the future of Richland One youth and our community.Initiatives
